Who in your family is at risk for vision problems?

1 in 4 children have a vision problem
Children under 15 account for 43% of all sports and recreational eye injuries
Baby-boomers areat greater risk for glaucoma
1 in 3 seniors have a vision-impairing eye disease

When was the last time you had an exam? Do you have diabetes, high blood pressure, a family history of eye disease? These are things that should not to be taken lightly, but are often taken for granted. Some vision problems, such as amblyopia or glaucoma, have no warning signs and can cause permanent vision lossif left untreated.Did you know that an optometrist found a stroke happening while doing an exam and was able to get the person help right away? Another Optometrist found a tumor early before the patient had any symptoms , refering them to get treatment before it even became a problem. The eyes are truely the window to the soul.....so why not take that hour to simply ensure your sight for the future and get the added benefit of an Optometrist who truely cares about you. Many of you have already met with Dr. Missy Blowers. Missy cares not only about your eyes, but your health and well being. We are here to keep an "Eye on your Health".

So with this......It's time to make a New Years Resolution......

I ask you as your optician and friend,to make it a point to get your eye's examined every year or as instructed by your Doctor. Such as you get your coffee every morning, doing your food shopping for the week, you would simply be taking an hour out of 365 days to take care of the part of your bodythat you would find very difficult to live without....your sight!

Allow us to keep an "Eye on your Health" by calling today for an appointment or go online to the website, even if it is months away. You can also reply to this newsletter with your name, contact info and when you believe you are due for an exam and we will be sure to follow up to make certain that you are following the regiment needed to ensure the proper Eye Health.
